Description of activity or project: As part of the on-going effort to develop species lists for the Bernard Field Station, I will be working with Kerry Knudsen, lichenologist, to conduct a survey of lichen species at the BFS. Voucher specimens will be collected to be deposited at the UC Riverside herbarium. A preliminary survey (Request No. 0449431258, Summer 2004), indicated that one day should be sufficient for conducting the survey. Tad Beckman, Prof. Emeritus HMC, will accompany us to photograph the lichens.
